湘南自然薯栽培その３

昨秋の収穫後、馬糞やコンポストを散布して肥沃化に努めてきました。が、２月末に農場試験場からと届いた土壌分析の結果、苦土と石灰の要素が不足していることが分かりました。そこで顆粒ﾀｲﾆｰ100kgと炭カル60kgを圃場に散布しました。後日、耕運の予定です。
Since the harvest last fall, I have been trying to fertilize by spraying horse manure and compost. However, as a result of soil analysis received from the farm laboratory at the end of February, it was found that there was a shortage of soil and lime elements. So, I sprayed100 kg of granule tiny and 60 kg of charcoal cal  on the first and second fields. I plan to cultivate it with a tractor later.

２月１１日に簡易温室で育苗を開始したモロヘイヤの種子が芽出ししました。約２週間で芽出ししたことになります。約２割の２０個ほどですが温室の効果が出ました。もともとモロヘイヤの発芽率は低く推奨時期でも約５０％ですので上出来です。次のロットの育苗も開始したいと思います。
The seeds of Moroheiya, which started raising seedlings in a compact greenhouse on February 11, have sprouted.They have sprouted in about 2 weeks. The 20 pieces,20% of all seeds, have germinated  du to the greenhouse. Originally, the germination rate of Moroheiya is low, about 50% even at the recommended season. Plan to start raising seedlings for the next lot.

隣の畑のNさんが管理機を貸してくれました。溝堀をして畦を作る機械です。試しに使ってみたら意外とうまく出来ました。第三圃場で１時間ほどで１０畦を作ることができました。（鍬で行ったら２−３日掛かります。）今年は自然薯圃場の畦作りにも活用したいと考えています。
N-san from the next field lent me a tilling machine.which makes trenches and makes ridges. It was surprisingly successful.could make 10 ridges within an hour in the third field. (Otherwise it takes 2-3 days using with a hoe.) This year, I would like to use it for making ridges in the Japanese yam field.

五月上旬の暖かさ！第四圃場の東側２畦にマルチを張ってジャガイモ140本を定植しました。平塚英語愛好家グループのOさんが手伝ってくれました。今年の６月にKSGGのファームビジットでじゃが芋掘りのイベントを予定しています。
Warmth in early May! 　Planted140 potatoes on 2 ridges of the 4th field. Mrs Oof the Hiratsuka English group participated. Planning potatoes- digging event of the KSGG's Farm Visit in June of this year.
 

秋田の自然薯農家のKさんから冷凍とろろが届きました。冷凍加工場で作ったそうです。無添加の摺り下ろしたとろろをビニール袋に入れて急速冷凍したようです。サンプルは100gの冷凍とろろです。常温解凍してからマグロのヤマカケまたはそばつゆで混ぜてとろろご飯で食べることができます。すり鉢をもたない人やかゆみが出る方には便利な調理方法です。
Received a frozen tororo from Mr. K, a yam farmer in Akita. It was made at a freezing processing plant. Additive-free grated tororo was put in a plastic bag and quickly frozen. The sample is 100g of frozen tororo. After thawing at room temperature,  can mix it with tuna yamakake or soba soup and eat it as tororo rice. This is a convenient cooking for people who do not have a mortar or who have itching.
