湘南自然薯栽培その３

Tさんが持っている溝掘り機をお借りして第一圃場と第四圃場の溝堀りをしました。少し溝は浅いですが効率よく作業ができました。やはり機械を使用するととても快適に作業ができます。
Borrowed T-san's digging machine to dig the first and fourth fields. The groove is a little shallow, but it worked efficiently. After all, using a machine makes it very comfortable to work.

近くで野菜栽培を行っているTさんがSさんを連れて自然薯の定植方法の講習にやってきました。昨年から自然薯栽培を行っているそうですが小さな薯しかできなかったそうです。私の栽培を伝授することにしました。試験圃場で自然薯の低速方法を指導しました。これまでに種芋の養生、畔シートの埋め方などを指導してきています。
Mr. T, who grows vegetables nearby, came with Mr. S to me to know how to plant Japanese yams.They has cultivating Japanese yams  last year, but they could only grow small yams. I decided to teach my cultivation. I taught how to plant seed yams in the test field. So far, I have been teaching how to cure seed yamss and how to bury shore sheets.

自然薯の定植の準備が始まりました。まず畔シートを埋める溝堀りです。第二圃場と第四圃場の溝堀りを開始しました。
Preparations for planting Japanese yams have begun. First is the groove digging that fills the shore sheet. Have started digging the second and fourth fields.

三月に植えたジャガイモの茎葉が大きくなりました。メイクイーンには花が咲いています。６月末には留学生向けのｼﾞｬｶﾞｲﾓ堀りのイベントを計画しています。
ジェラート工房の建設も急ピッチです。
The foliage of the potatoes planted in March has grown. The May Queen is in bloom. At the end of June, we are planning a potato digging event for international students.
The construction of the gelato workshop is also under rapid construction.

第二圃場の自然薯用の溝堀りを完了しました。１６畝の溝堀りです。約20cmの溝を掘りそこに自然薯育成のパイプを埋める予定です。
Completed digging for Japanese yam in the second field. It is a 16-ridge groove digging 20 cm  in depth. Plan to bury a pipe for growing Japanese  yams there.
