湘南自然薯栽培その３

2月11日に組み立てたビニール温室を片付けて倉庫にしまいました。約4か月間約８００本のモロヘイヤの育苗に役立ってくれました。おかげで昨年より２０日ほど早く収穫ができるようになりました。来年も使いたいと思います。

Cleaned up the vinyl greenhouse that I assembled on February 11th and put it in the warehouse. It helped to raise about 800 Moroheiya seedlings for about 4 months. Thanks to that, I could harvest about 20 days earlier than last year. I would like to use it next year as well.

EFC(English Farm Cafe)を早朝に実施しました。日中の暑さを避けるためです。Owさん、OtさんそしてYさんが参加してくれました。本日の作業は草取りとレモングラスの定植です。その後、軽食とコーヒーを摂りながら英会話を楽しみました。終了後に浜田牧場さんのジェラート工房のグランドオープンに参加したのですが、長蛇の列、１時間以上待つことになると言われ、再訪を期して早々と後にしました。
EFC (English Farm Cafe) was held early in the morning. This is to avoid the heat during the day. Ow-san, Ot-san Y-san participated. Today's work is weeding and planting lemongrass. After that, we enjoyed English conversation while eating light meals and coffee. After the event, we participated in the grand opening of Hamada dairy farm's gelato workshop, but were told that we would have to wait for more than an hour in a long line, so left early in anticipation of a revisit.

自然薯の蔓の養生と畦上の草取りを実施後に畑の俯瞰写真を撮りました。昨年に比べ少しだけ蔓の成長が早いようです。５月末の追肥が効いているように感じます。写真は第一圃場と第四圃場です。
After curing the vines of the natural yam and weeding the ridges, took a bird's-eye view of the field. It seems that the vines grow a little faster than last year. I feel that the top dressing at the end of May is working. The photo shows the first and fourth fields.

25日のグランドオープンを前に浜田牧場さんのジェラート工房の内覧会が22日―２３日の２日間開催されました。この日は農業関係者の方々を招待した内覧会です。多くの花が飾られ、関係者による作り立てのジェラートの試食が行われました。ジェラート工房は浜田牧場の若夫婦による新規事業の一つです。
Before the grand opening on the 25th, a preview of Mr. Hamada dairy farms's gelato workshop was held for 2 days from the 22nd to the 23rd. This day is a preview inviting people involved in agriculture. Many flowers were displayed and the fresh gelato was tasted by the people concerned. Gelato Kobo is one of the new businesses by a young couple of Hamada dairy farm.

第二圃場の草取りを実施しました。畝間と畦上の雑草の除去です。畦上の草は手で畝間の草は鍬を使って除去しました。昨年はこの作業を怠り雑草だらけになり自然薯の収穫が低下しましたの。昨年の失敗を繰り返さないようにします。
Did weeding of the second field. Removal of weeds on the furrows and ridges. The grass on the ridges was removed by hand and the grass on the ridges was removed using a hoe. Last year, I neglected this work and became full of weeds, and the yield of natural yams decreased. I do not repeat last year's mistakes.
