湘南自然薯栽培その３

小田原のホームセンターまで行って小型耕運機を購入しました。圃場は基本的に22馬力自走式の耕運機を使用して耕しますが、自然薯定植前後の畔付近の耕うんには小回りの利く小型耕うん機が必要です。昨年秋に前の小型耕うん機が壊れたための買い替えです。折り畳むと車のトランクルームに乗せられるので簡単に圃場間を移動できます。
Went to a home center in Odawara and bought a small tiller.Bbasically till the fields with a 22 horsepower self-propelled tiller, need a small tiller that is easy to maneuver for tilling the ridges around the fields before and after planting Japanese yams. Bought this to replace my previous tiller, which broke last fall. It can be folded up and put in the trunk of a car, so it can be easily moved between fields.

最後の第一圃場の畔シートの敷設を行います。まず、周りの草刈りを行い、脇に保管している畔シートを展開します。そして畔の溝堀を行って畔シートを埋めて行きます。五月中旬まで続きます。
Will lay the levee sheeting in the last field, the first field. First, will cut the grass around the field and unfold the levee sheeting that has been stored to the side. Then,  will dig the levee trenches and fill in the levee sheeting. This will continue until mid-May.

浜田牧場さんの竹林で掘り上げたばかりの筍を15本頂きました。そしてEFCの仲間と鉄の釜で茹で上げました。とても柔らく茹で上がりました。
We received 15 freshly dug bamboo shoots from Hamada Farm's bamboo forest. Together with our EFC colleagues, we boiled them in an iron pot. They came out very soft.

同様にｻﾝﾙｰﾑ内で育苗中のモロヘイヤもやっと芽出しを始めました。
4/31と4/6に仕込んだのですが、4/6に仕込んだ育苗箱の方が先に芽出ししました。
Similarly, the molokheiya seedlings growing in the Sun Room have finally started to sprout.
They were planted on 4/31 and 4/6, but the seedling box planted on 4/6 sprouted first.

我が家のｻﾝﾙｰﾑ内で育苗中だったサツマイモ（種薯）が芽出しを開始しました。
安納芋と鳴門金時の種芋から新芽が出てきました。3/19仕込み開始から39日目です。感謝です。
The sweet potato seedlings that were growing in sunroom have started to sprout.New shoots have appeared from the Annou sweet potato and Naruto Kintoki sweet potato seed potatoes. It's been 39 days since  started preparing them on March 19th. I'm grateful.
