湘南自然薯栽培その３

第四圃場北側の一部を耕作してジャガイモの畦を４畦作りました。３月初めに定植の予定です。このうち２畦を初夏の留学生のファームビジットで使用します。
A part of the north side of the 4th field was cultivated and 4 ridges of potatoes were made. Planting is scheduled for early March. Two of these ridges will be used for farm visits by international students in early summer.

大磯の友人Ｙさんを通じて湘南乃海の祖父母の魚滝さんから１２月の高田川新聞を頂きました。湘南乃海関の初の関取（十両昇進）が掲載された新聞です。
遅咲きのスタートで、新十両で１２勝３敗は立派な成績です。
Through my friend Y in Oiso,  received the December Takadagawa Newspaper from grandparents of Shonan Noumi, Uotaki,the fishmonger. This is the newspaper in which Shonan no umi's first sekitori (promotion to juryo) was described.
A late bloomer start, 12 wins and 3 losses in his  new juryo was a splendid record.

1月６日から始まった秦野市の水無川の壁画の修復作業が本日の名札取付の作業でやっと完成しました。看板屋ミナミさんのご主人が無償でプラスチックの名札を作成してくれました。本日は彼と一緒にそれを１２枚の壁画に取り付けました。提唱者のリンダさんとプロジェクトの推進者のＫＢさんとＫｗさんも駆けつけてくれました。
The restoration of the Mizunashi River mural paintings in Hadano City, which started on January 6th, has finally been completed with today's name tag installation work. The master of the sign shop minami created a plastic name tag for free. Today, he and I installed it on 12 murals. Linda, the advocate, KS-san and Kw-san, the promoters of the project, also rushed over.

隣町の大磯出身の相撲取りの新十両湘南乃海が今年の初場所で１２勝３敗の好成績を収めました。近くの畑で家庭菜園を営むＹさんは湘南乃海のお爺さんと知り合いです。魚屋さんをしているそうです。　そこで自然薯を差し入れして彼の番付表と相撲部屋の新聞を頂きました。
New Juryo Shonan Noumi, a sumo wrestler from the neighboring town of Oiso, achieved a good performance of 12 wins and 3 losses in this year's first tournament. Y-san, who runs a vegetable garden in a nearby field, is acquainted with grand parent of Shonan Noumi. He runs a fishmonger. So I presentes them Japanese yam and gave me his grand san's ranking list and the sumo stable  newspaper.
