湘南自然薯栽培その３

浜田牧場さんのモロコシ畑の斜面の枯草の野焼きを手伝いました。
好天に恵まれ１時間ほどで斜面は真っ黒になりました。
Helped Hamada deiary farm in burning dry grass on the slopes of the sorghum field.
Blessed with good weather, the slope turned black in about an hour.

昨年１２月に予約していた立川志の輔師匠の独演会を観てきました。平塚の市政５周年を記念して、平塚文芸文化会館で開催されたものです。楽しませて頂きました。
Went to see the solo performance of master Shinosuke Tatekawa, which I had reserved in December last year. It was held at the Hiratsuka Bungei Bunka Kaikan to commemorate the 5th anniversary of Hiratsuka municipal administration. Really enjoyed it.
 

インドネシア、中国そしてモロッコの留学生を小田原の曽我の梅園に案内しました。そこで昼食を採り、午後は松田町の早咲き桜（河津さくら）に案内しました。最後は平塚の畑で散会しました。なお、平塚の英会話同好会の仲間がガイドとして参加してくれました。道中無事でなによりでした。
Guided foreign students from Indonesia, China and Morocco to Soga no Baien(Plum garden) in Odawara.Had lunch there, and in the afternoon, ook them to Matsuda-cho to see the early-blooming cherry blossoms (Kawazu Sakura). At the end, we parted ways at a field in Hiratsuka. In addition, three members of Hiratsuka's English conversation club participated as a guide. We had a nice trip.

第四圃場北側の一部を耕作してジャガイモの畦を４畦作りました。３月初めに定植の予定です。このうち２畦を初夏の留学生のファームビジットで使用します。
A part of the north side of the 4th field was cultivated and 4 ridges of potatoes were made. Planting is scheduled for early March. Two of these ridges will be used for farm visits by international students in early summer.

大磯の友人Ｙさんを通じて湘南乃海の祖父母の魚滝さんから１２月の高田川新聞を頂きました。湘南乃海関の初の関取（十両昇進）が掲載された新聞です。
遅咲きのスタートで、新十両で１２勝３敗は立派な成績です。
Through my friend Y in Oiso,  received the December Takadagawa Newspaper from grandparents of Shonan Noumi, Uotaki,the fishmonger. This is the newspaper in which Shonan no umi's first sekitori (promotion to juryo) was described.
A late bloomer start, 12 wins and 3 losses in his  new juryo was a splendid record.
