湘南自然薯栽培その３

ﾂﾏｲﾓ種芋の保存に初めて成功しました。私の居室に段ボール箱に稲わらに包んだｻﾂﾏｲﾓと段ボール箱に稲殻に包んだｻﾂﾏｲﾓがそれぞれ約8割の芋がきれいに保存できました。一方、ｻﾝﾙｰﾑ内で同様な形式で夜間は電気ストーブ600wで暖気した物はほとんど駄目でした。乾燥しすぎたようです。
Have suvecceded in preserving sweet potato seed potatoes for the first time. Placed sweet potatoes wrapped in rice straw in a cardboard box in my room, and wrapped them in rice husks in a cardboard box, and about 80% of the potatoes were preserved perfectly. On the other hand, the same method was used in the sun room, but the potatoes were barely preserved while heated at night with a 600W electric heater. They seemed to have dried out too much.
 

Hさんの畑の玉葱の根元の草取りをした後に、化成肥料を数粒づつ200個の玉葱に散布しました。今年は昨年より出来が良さそうです。
After weeding the base of the onions in Mr. H's field, Spread a few grains of chemical fertilizer each on 200 onions. This year's crop looks better than last year.

秦野英会話クラブの課外授業の一環として、若いイラン人女性によるイランの紹介という英語の講演がありました。私は講演スライドのプロジェクターとの接続とスクリーンへの映写の調整を実施しました。スライドは４０枚以上の紹介があり、クイズや質疑応答を含み２時間があっという間に過ぎてしまいました。
As part of the extracurricular activities of the Hadano English Conversation Club, a young Iranian woman gave a lecture in English introducing Iran. I connected the lecture slides to the projector and adjusted the projection onto the screen. There were more than 40 slides, and the two hours flew by, including a quiz and Q&A.
 

Hさんの畑に300本のジャガイモを定植しました。
Plantied　300 seed potatos in H-san's field.

２つの畑に約５００個のジャガイモを定植しました。種類は男爵、キタアカリ、アンデスレッド他です。週末の寒気と小雨が気がかりですが、元気に育ってほしいと思います。
Planted about 500 potatoes in two fields. The varieties are Baron, Kitaakari, Andes Red, and others. Worried about the cold weather and light rain over the weekend, but  hope they grow well.
