湘南自然薯栽培その３

KSGGガイドグループの恒例の湘南ひらつか七夕祭りガイドを実施しました。例年七夕祭り中の日曜日にガイドを実施していましたが、７月第一日曜日は外国人の方の日本語検定試験が実施されるため、その日を避けて7/5土曜日に実施することにしました。申込者は５４名でしたが猛暑のため欠席者が２０名に上りました。２２か国３４名の方々にパール道路の七夕飾りと八幡山洋館の国際交流サロンの折り紙、書道、着付け他のイベントを楽しんで頂きました。
The KSGG Guide Group held its annual Shonan Hiratsuka Tanabata Festival guided tour. Normally, the tour is held on a Sunday during the Tanabata Festival, but because the Japanese Language Proficiency Test for foreigners is held on the first Sunday of July, we decided to avoid that day and hold the tour on Saturday, July 5th. There were 54 applicants, but 20 were absent due to the extreme heat. 34 people from 22 countries enjoyed the Tanabata decorations on Pearl Road and the origami, calligraphy, kimono dressing and other events at the International Exchange Salon in the Hachimanyama Western-style Building.

自然薯圃場の白黒マルチの布設が完了しました。成長が早い自然薯の蔓葉はネットの上部まで伸びています。今後の成長が楽しみです。
Have completed laying the black and white mulch in the Japanese yam field. The Japanese yam vines and leaves grow quickly and have already reached the top of the net. Looking forward to watching them grow in the future.

５月末に植えたプランターのイチョウ芋の蔓葉が伸びて緑をカーテンを作製し始めました。
今後の成長が楽しみです。
The vines and leaves of the ginkgo potatoes root planted in a planter at the end of May have begun to grow and create a green curtain.

午後横浜のKSGGの月例会で湘南ひらつか七夕祭りのプレゼンをした後に新橋に向かいました。学生時代の野球部の先輩Aさんの快気祝いを他の仲間と九州の居酒屋で実施しました。元気そうで安心しました。ふるさとの関アジの刺身を堪能しました。
In the afternoon, gave a presentation on the Shonan Hiratsuka Tanabata Festival at the monthly meeting of KSGG in Yokohama, and then headed to Shinbashi.  Went to a Kyushu izakaya with some friends to celebrate the recovery from the illness of my senior A, who was on the baseball team when I was a student. Was relieved to see that he was doing well. We thoroughly enjoyed eating some Seki horse mackerel sashimi from my hometown.

KSGGで大変お世話になっているYさんを鎌倉のご自宅をKさん夫妻と共に訪問しました。
Yさんは昨年末に腰を痛めて手術を行い現在リハビリ中です。ジャガイモとベルガモットの花束を持参しました。早期の回復を祈念します。『乱歩と千畝』の本を貸して頂きました。
Together with Mr. and Mrs. K,  visited Y-san, who has been very helpful to us at KSGG, at her home in Kamakura.
She hurt her back at the end of last year and had surgery, and is currently undergoing rehabilitation. Brought her a package of potatoes with abouquet of bergamot flowers. Pray for her speedy recovery. She lent me the book "Ranpo and Chiune."
