湘南自然薯栽培その３

同様にｻﾝﾙｰﾑ内で育苗中のモロヘイヤもやっと芽出しを始めました。
4/31と4/6に仕込んだのですが、4/6に仕込んだ育苗箱の方が先に芽出ししました。
Similarly, the molokheiya seedlings growing in the Sun Room have finally started to sprout.
They were planted on 4/31 and 4/6, but the seedling box planted on 4/6 sprouted first.

我が家のｻﾝﾙｰﾑ内で育苗中だったサツマイモ（種薯）が芽出しを開始しました。
安納芋と鳴門金時の種芋から新芽が出てきました。3/19仕込み開始から39日目です。感謝です。
The sweet potato seedlings that were growing in sunroom have started to sprout.New shoots have appeared from the Annou sweet potato and Naruto Kintoki sweet potato seed potatoes. It's been 39 days since  started preparing them on March 19th. I'm grateful.

本日から本格的に自然薯畑の溝堀りと畔ｼｰﾄ埋めが始まります。すべてが手作業のハードワークです。約半月続きます。実習を兼ねてKさんが手伝ってくれました。
約2時間の実習で約50本の畔ｼｰﾄの埋め込みが完了しました。Kさんには単管パイプの支柱建ての実習もして頂きました。
Starting today, will begin digging furrows and filling the bank sheets in the Japanese yam field. It's all hard work done by hand. It will continue for about half a month. Mr. K helped me out as a practical trainer.
In about two hours of practice, we completed filling in about 50 bank sheets. Mr. K also trained  on erecting the single-pipe supports.

第一圃場を耕作しました。その前に牛糞堆肥と苦土石灰を圃場に散布しました。雑草が枯れる1週間以降に再度耕作してから畦つくりと畔ｼｰﾄの布設を行う予定です。
Have cultivated the first field. Before that, spread cow manure compost and dolomitic lime on the field. Plan to cultivate again in a week when the weeds die, and then make ridges and lay levee sheets.

自然薯栽培を希望するF工業のKさんが、3月末の自然薯種芋の仕込みに続き、圃場の耕作の実習に参加しました。約二時間の実習で、22馬力トラクターを運転して第四圃場を耕作しました。すっかりきれいになりました。
K-san from F Industry, who wants to grow Japanese yam, participated in a field cultivation training session following the preparation of wild yam seed potatoes at the end of March. In the approximately two-hour training session, he operated a 22 horsepower tractor and cultivated the fourth field. The field is now completely clean.
