湘南自然薯栽培その３

今年も母校の野球部ob会で集めた寄付を地元のFさん他有志が母校を訪問して寄付を監督に手渡ししてくれました。一回戦は８日行われます。頑張って欲しいと思います。
This year too,  F-san and other members living in Oita visited former school and handed the donations to the manager. The first round will be held on the 8th. Want them do their best.

昨夜からの雨と北風で一部のソルゴーが倒伏しました。このソルゴーは今後の台風に備えて自然薯圃場の防風の為に植えたものです。しっかりと根を張らずに育ちだかりのソルゴーにとって4-5m/秒の北風に耐えられなかったようです。別の農家の隣の畑のソルゴー（緑化肥料にするために植えたもの）も大半が倒伏していました。
Some sorghum fell down due to the rain and north wind from last night. This sorghum was planted to prevent wind in the Japanese yam field in preparation for future typhoons. It seems that the sorghum, which had grown up without rooting firmly, could not withstand the north wind of 4-5 m / sec. Most of the sorghum (planted for greening fertilizer) in the field next to another farmer also fell down.

7月初めの出荷を予定していましたが、予想外に成長が早く第三圃場のモロヘイヤを収穫しました。100gのモロヘイヤの束を袋に入れます。この袋が72個になりました。早速70袋を秦野の市場に出荷しました。２袋は業務用冷蔵庫に温度18度で保存しました。
Though planed to ship it in early July, but it grew unexpectedly fast.So,harvested Moroheiya from the third field. Put a bunch of 100g Moroheiyas of 100g in wieght into a vinyl bag. Harvested 72 bags.  Immediately shipped 70 bags to the Hadano market. Two bags were stored in a commercial refrigerator at a temperature of 18 degrees.

2月11日に組み立てたビニール温室を片付けて倉庫にしまいました。約4か月間約８００本のモロヘイヤの育苗に役立ってくれました。おかげで昨年より２０日ほど早く収穫ができるようになりました。来年も使いたいと思います。

Cleaned up the vinyl greenhouse that I assembled on February 11th and put it in the warehouse. It helped to raise about 800 Moroheiya seedlings for about 4 months. Thanks to that, I could harvest about 20 days earlier than last year. I would like to use it next year as well.

EFC(English Farm Cafe)を早朝に実施しました。日中の暑さを避けるためです。Owさん、OtさんそしてYさんが参加してくれました。本日の作業は草取りとレモングラスの定植です。その後、軽食とコーヒーを摂りながら英会話を楽しみました。終了後に浜田牧場さんのジェラート工房のグランドオープンに参加したのですが、長蛇の列、１時間以上待つことになると言われ、再訪を期して早々と後にしました。
EFC (English Farm Cafe) was held early in the morning. This is to avoid the heat during the day. Ow-san, Ot-san Y-san participated. Today's work is weeding and planting lemongrass. After that, we enjoyed English conversation while eating light meals and coffee. After the event, we participated in the grand opening of Hamada dairy farm's gelato workshop, but were told that we would have to wait for more than an hour in a long line, so left early in anticipation of a revisit.
