湘南自然薯栽培その３

雨のため３日遅れで今年も浜田牧場さんのモロコシ収穫とサイロ詰めが始まりました。今日は長サイロへのモロコシのサイレージです。２トントラック５台のモロコシを詰め込み、２２馬力トラクターで固めてゆきます。この作業は約２週間にわたって続きます。
Due to the rain, three days later than usual, Hamada deiry fram's corn harvesting and silage started. Today is silage to a long silo. Packed 5 corns of  two-ton trucks and harden them with a 22 horsepower tractor. This work lasts about two weeks.

早朝、モロヘイヤの収穫途中に急な降雨に会いました。車の中で様子を見ていたらすぐに雨は止みました。その後、西空に大きな虹が数分間きれいに見えました。こんな大きな虹は初めてみました。
Early in the morning,  met a sudden rainfall during the harvest of Moroheiya. As soon as  watching the situation in the car, the rain stopped. After that, could watch a big rainbow beautiful in the west sky for a few minutes. Never seen such a big rainbow.

第一圃場の脇の草刈りを実施しました。わずか２週間前に草刈をしたばかりです。このところの猛暑で雑草の成長が早いです。蔓性の雑草は自然薯の成長に邪魔になります。
Mowed the side of the first field. I just mowed the grass just two weeks ago. Weeds are growing fast due to the recent heat wave. Vine weeds interfere with the growth of Japanesel yams.

プランター栽培している稲作で２つのポットの稲に穂が出てきました。今後の成長が楽しみです。猛暑の日は午前と午後の２回潅水します。

Ears appeared in two pots of rice grown in  planters. look forward to future growth. Irrigate twice in the morning and afternoon on hot days.

留学生のＨさんとＮさんを箱根に案内しました。箱根関所、海賊船、ロープウェイ、大涌谷そしてガラスの森美術館を巡って楽しんでいただきました。晴れ間が覗いて富士山がよく見えました。EFC仲間のOさんも車付きで同道してくれました。
Guided international students H-san and N-san to Hakone. They enjoyed visiting Hakone Sekisho, Pirate Ship, Ropeway, Owakudani and Glass Forest Museum. Could see Mt. Fuji well through the clear sky. O-san, an EFC friend, also accompanied us with a car.
