湘南自然薯栽培その３

二宮の友人の竹林で今年初めての筍掘りをEFCの仲間と実施しました。まだ早いかなと思ったのですが、たくさん掘れました。そのごEさんのお宅でランチを頂きました。
Went bamboo shoot digging for the first time this year with my EFC friends at a friend's bamboo grove in Ninomiya. Thought it might be a little early, but we dug up a lot. Afterwards, we had lunch at E-san's house.

秦野英会話サークルの有志でOさんの庭園の桜の花見を企画しました。が、雨のため、室内での実施になりました。花より団子の私たちにはこれでも十分に楽しめました。素敵な音響ルームでクラシックやジャズなどを聞きながら英語チャットに興じることができました。
A group of volunteers from the Hadano English Conversation Circle planned a cherry blossom viewing party at Mr. O's garden. However, due to rain, it was moved indoors. For us, who prefer food over flowers, this was still very enjoyable. We were able to chat in English while listening to classical and jazz music in a wonderful sound system room.

初めて来日したインドネシアの家族を横浜駅で待ち合わせて平塚にご案内しました。まず、平塚八幡に案内してから駅前にインドネシア料理店にて平塚の英会話仲間とランチをしました。ご夫婦は四月から横浜国大に留学する息子さんと共に来日して約１か月滞在予定です。今後、何回か平塚でのイベントに案内予定です。
Met an Indonesian family, who were visiting Japan for the first time, at Yokohama Station and showed them around Hiratsuka. First, took them to Hiratsuka Hachiman Shrine, and then had lunch at an Indonesian restaurant near the station with some of my English conversation friends from Hiratsuka. The couple came to Japan with their son, who will be studying at Yokohama National University from April, and they plan to stay for about a month. Plan to invite them to several events in Hiratsuka juring their staying in Japan.

3/21に届いた北茨城からの種薯を20日仕込んで、本日、育苗箱での育苗を開始しました。
まず、種薯を平均60g単位にカットして日干しします。次に切り口を消毒します。そして切付を消石灰でまぶします。そして日干します。22,23日は小雨と曇りだったので、本日、育苗箱に川砂を並べてその中に種薯を並べて埋めて行きます。1箱に約30個の種薯を埋めます。約70個の育苗箱を畑脇に置きました。今後は気温管理をしながら約50日間かけて芽出しを行います。
The seed potatoes from Kitaibaraki, which arrived on March 21st, were prepared on the 20th, and today started growing them in seedling trays.First, cut the seed potatoes into 60g units and sun-dried them. Next, disinfected the cut surfaces. Then coated the cut surfaces with slaked lime. And then sun-dried them again. Since it was lightly rainy and cloudy on the 22nd and 23rd, today lined the seedling trays with river sand and buried the seed potatoes in it. Buried about 30 seed potatoes in each tray. Placed about 70 seedling trays next to the field. From now on, will manage the temperature and sprout them over a period of about 50 days.

一期先輩のAさんが5月以降に心臓の手術を受けることになり、関東に住む仲間と彼の激励を兼ねてランチ会を開催しました。場所は彼の最寄り駅の用賀駅の近くのレストランを予約しました。彼の奥様と後輩のM嬢も参加してくれました。Qさんの手術の成功を祈念します。
A senior colleague, Mr. A, will be undergoing heart surgery sometime after May, so held a lunch gathering with friends living in the Kanto region to encourage him. Reserved a restaurant near Yoga Station, his nearest station. His wife and a junior colleague, Ms. M, also joined us. We pray for the success of Mr. A's surgery.
