湘南自然薯栽培その３

3月２５日に定植したモロヘイヤが新芽を２−３回繰り返してやっと少しだけ大きくなりました。約３ｃｍの高さになりました。
Moroheiya planted on March 25th repeated sprouts 2-3 times and finally grew a little. It is about 3 cm high.

第二圃場の畔シートの埋め込みが始まりました。この作業が一番きつい作業です。山砂を一輪車で運びフネに入れます。畔シートを埋めます。パイプで砂を掬って畔シートに入れます。数枚の畔シートを埋めた時点で金串で畔シートを固め周りの土を寄せて畝を作ります。
Embedding of the shore sheet of the second field has begun. This work is the hardest work. Carry the mountain sand with a unicycle and put it in thecontainer. Fill the shore sheet into grrove. Scoop the sand with a pipe and put it in the shore sheet. When several shore sheets are filled, the shore sheets are hardened with a wired skewer and the surrounding soil is gathered to make ridges.

Tさんが持っている溝掘り機をお借りして第一圃場と第四圃場の溝堀りをしました。少し溝は浅いですが効率よく作業ができました。やはり機械を使用するととても快適に作業ができます。
Borrowed T-san's digging machine to dig the first and fourth fields. The groove is a little shallow, but it worked efficiently. After all, using a machine makes it very comfortable to work.

近くで野菜栽培を行っているTさんがSさんを連れて自然薯の定植方法の講習にやってきました。昨年から自然薯栽培を行っているそうですが小さな薯しかできなかったそうです。私の栽培を伝授することにしました。試験圃場で自然薯の低速方法を指導しました。これまでに種芋の養生、畔シートの埋め方などを指導してきています。
Mr. T, who grows vegetables nearby, came with Mr. S to me to know how to plant Japanese yams.They has cultivating Japanese yams  last year, but they could only grow small yams. I decided to teach my cultivation. I taught how to plant seed yams in the test field. So far, I have been teaching how to cure seed yamss and how to bury shore sheets.

自然薯の定植の準備が始まりました。まず畔シートを埋める溝堀りです。第二圃場と第四圃場の溝堀りを開始しました。
