湘南自然薯栽培その３

第二圃場の11-12畦に栽培していたニンニク約100本を収穫しました。第五圃場で栽培したニンニクは腐ってしまって収穫はゼロでした。3月から4月にかけて肥大する時期に雨に降られて、排水が良くないために、芋が腐ってしまったようです。
Harvested about 100 garlic potatoes that had been cultivated on the 11-12 ridges of the second field. The garlic cultivated in the fifth field was rotten and the harvest was zero. It seems that the potatoes have rotted due to poor drainage due to the rain during the bloated period from March to April.

第一圃場の溝堀を実施しました。鍬を使った手作業です。1日がかりの仕事になりました。
Carried out a groove moat in the first field. It is a manual work using a hoe. It took me a whole day to work.

第四圃場の自然薯畑の溝堀りを実施しました。今後、畦シートを埋めて畦を作る予定です。
Carried out grooving of the Japanese yam field in the 4th field. In the future, I will fill the ridge sheet and make ridges.

都内に住む娘家族が昨夜訪ねてきました。一泊して今日は中央公園などで遊んでもらい近くのジェラート工房でヤギと戯れながらジェラートを賞味して貰いました。
My daughter's family living in Tokyo visited us last night. They stayed overnight and had played in the central park and enjoy the gelato while playing with goats at the nearby gelato workshop.

 

4月は雨が多く、雑草の成長が例年より早いです。第一圃場の入口の雑草の草刈をしました。今後、残る5圃場の周辺の草刈を実施します。斜面に小石が多い畑がありその草刈りを終えると草刈機の刃の交換が必要です。
It rains a lot in April,so weeds grow faster than usual. Weeds were mowed at the entrance of the first field. Have to mow the grass around the remaining 5 fields in near future. There is a field with many pebbles on the slope, and when finish mowing, need to replace the blade of the mower.
