湘南自然薯栽培その３

自然薯の定植がやっと終了しました。約3,000本の自然薯を植えたことになります。
The planting of Japanese yams has finally been completed. This means that I have planted about 3,000 yams.

英会話仲間のKさんが所属する日本舞踊のお浚い会が国立劇場の小劇場で行われました。東海大学留学生を誘って英会話仲間と共に鑑賞してきました。演出も凝っておりとても素晴らしい舞踊でした。
A Japanese dance party to which K-san, an English conversation classmates, belongs was held at a small theater in the National Theater of Japan. I invited Tokai University international students to watch it with my English conversation classmates. The production was elaborate and it was a very wonderful dance.

第三圃場の6畦にモロヘイヤを定植しました。4畦目のモロヘイヤにはマルチを施しました。保温と保湿で成長を促すものです。今年は実験をしてみます。
Moroheiya was planted in 6 ridges of the third field. A mulch was applied to the 4th ridge Moroheiya. It promotes growth by keeping warm and moisturizing. It is an experiment this year.

今年は雨が多く昨年より約2週間遅れて畦シートの布設が完了しました。平行して蔓が伸びた自然薯の種芋の定植も進めています。この圃場では5-6畦には種薯を定植済です。
It rained a lot this year, and the ridge sheet was laid about two weeks later than last year. So I have been promoting the planting of seed yams with vines growing in parallel. Seed yams have been planted on 5-6 ridges in this field.

第二圃場の11-12畦に栽培していたニンニク約100本を収穫しました。第五圃場で栽培したニンニクは腐ってしまって収穫はゼロでした。3月から4月にかけて肥大する時期に雨に降られて、排水が良くないために、芋が腐ってしまったようです。
Harvested about 100 garlic potatoes that had been cultivated on the 11-12 ridges of the second field. The garlic cultivated in the fifth field was rotten and the harvest was zero. It seems that the potatoes have rotted due to poor drainage due to the rain during the bloated period from March to April.
