湘南自然薯栽培その３

Hさんの畑の玉葱の根元の草取りをした後に、化成肥料を数粒づつ200個の玉葱に散布しました。今年は昨年より出来が良さそうです。
After weeding the base of the onions in Mr. H's field, Spread a few grains of chemical fertilizer each on 200 onions. This year's crop looks better than last year.

秦野英会話クラブの課外授業の一環として、若いイラン人女性によるイランの紹介という英語の講演がありました。私は講演スライドのプロジェクターとの接続とスクリーンへの映写の調整を実施しました。スライドは４０枚以上の紹介があり、クイズや質疑応答を含み２時間があっという間に過ぎてしまいました。
As part of the extracurricular activities of the Hadano English Conversation Club, a young Iranian woman gave a lecture in English introducing Iran. I connected the lecture slides to the projector and adjusted the projection onto the screen. There were more than 40 slides, and the two hours flew by, including a quiz and Q&A.
 

Hさんの畑に300本のジャガイモを定植しました。
Plantied　300 seed potatos in H-san's field.

２つの畑に約５００個のジャガイモを定植しました。種類は男爵、キタアカリ、アンデスレッド他です。週末の寒気と小雨が気がかりですが、元気に育ってほしいと思います。
Planted about 500 potatoes in two fields. The varieties are Baron, Kitaakari, Andes Red, and others. Worried about the cold weather and light rain over the weekend, but  hope they grow well.

東海大学前駅でゲストを待ち合わせてから小田原厚木道路、箱根ターンパイク、伊豆スカイラインを経て、稲取の吊るし雛を見物してから河津町に向かいました。河津桜は、例年より２週間ほど遅くて、約６０％の開花状況でした。原木の家の河津桜はほぼ満開でした。簡単にランチを済ませ、浄蓮の滝を見物してから岐路に着きました。
After meeting the guests at Tokai University Station, we passed through the Odawara Atsugi Road, the Hakone Turnpike, and the Izu Skyline, and after visiting the hanging dolls in Inatori, we headed to Kawazu Town. The Kawazu cherry blossoms were about two weeks later than usual, and about 60% of them were in bloom. The Kawazu cherry blossoms at the Haraki House were almost in full bloom. We had a quick lunch, visited Joren Falls, and then went back.
