湘南自然薯栽培その３

雑草に覆われたサツマイモ畑の草取りを実施してからサツマイモの蔓返しを行いました。これから芋が大きくなります。１１月２４日のファームビジットで留学生を招待して芋ほりを行う予定です。
After weeding the sweet potato field that was covered with weeds, turned the sweet potato vines. The sweet potatoes will grow bigger from now on. Plan to invite international students to the farm visit on November 24th to dig up the sweet potatoes.

第四圃場の斜面に植えていたアメジストセージと千日紅が満開になりました。
来年以降にはこの斜面全体にこれらの花とベルガモットで植えて楽しい農園にしたいと思います。
The amethyst sage and amaranth planted on the slope of the fourth field are now in full bloom.
From next year onwards, I would like to plant the entire slope with these flowers and bergamot to make it a fun farm.

浜田牧場さんのトウモロコシ収穫とサイロ詰めの作業が続いております。平形サイロには２トントラック１０台分のトウモロコシを詰め込みます。発酵材を振り撒いて２２馬力トラクターで固めて行きます。最終的にはトラクターをはしごで卸してからブルーシートを被せて終了になります。
The corn harvest and silo filling work at Hamada Farm continues. The flat silo is filled with corn equivalent to 10 two-ton trucks. Fermentation materials are sprinkled on it and it is compacted with a 22 horsepower tractor. Finally, the tractor is lowered with a ladder and the work is finished by covering it with a blue tarp.
 

京都から新富士駅に到着したブルガリア旅行団２５名をお迎えして箱根にご案内しました。海賊船に乗船して桃源台からロープウエイで大涌谷に向かいました。
荒天のため富士山は見えず残念でした。その語の富士山五合目行きは現地が雨のため急遽忍野八海に向かうことになりました。ここも雨で傘を差しながらの見物となりました。その後は東名高速を経由して横浜のホテルにお送りしてお別れしました。
Welcomed a 25-member Bulgarian travel group that arrived at Shin-Fuji Station from Kyoto and escorted them to Hakone. We boarded a pirate ship and took the ropeway from Togendai to Owakudani.
They couldn't see Mt. Fuji due to bad weather. They were planning to go to the 5th station of Mt. Fuji, but it was raining there so decided to go to Oshino Hakkai at short notice. It was raining here too so they had to view the sights under umbrellas. We then took them via the Tomei Expressway to theia hotel in Yokohama and said goodbye.

今年も猛暑の中、浜田牧場さんのトウモロコシ収穫＆サイロ詰めが始まりました。約2週間をかけて約２町歩の畑のトウモロコシを収穫してサイロ詰めをします。２トントラックで約２０台分のトウモロコシを収穫します。猛暑なので昼間の４-５時間の作業です。
This year, the corn harvest and silo packing has begun at Hamada Farm amid the intense heat. It will take about two weeks to harvest corn from about 2 hectares of fields and pack it into silos. About 20 two-ton trucks will be used to harvest corn. Because of the intense heat, the work will be done for 4-5 hours during the day.
