湘南自然薯栽培その３

第二圃場の自然薯定植が完了し、ネット張りまで実施しました。今後は順調に育って欲しいです。
Have finished planting the *jinenjo* (Japanese yam) in the second field and have also set up the netting. Hope they grow well from here on out.

昨年より3週間ほど遅く第四圃場の自然薯の定植を実施しました。まず2畦に約200本を定植しました。育苗箱の自然薯の種薯はまだ半分以上が芽出ししていません。
Planted the *jinenjo* (Japanese yam) in the fourth field about three weeks later than last year. To start, planted approximately 200 yams across two rows. More than half of the seed yams in the seedling trays have not yet sprouted.
 

所属する秦野英会話クラブの課外レクチャーの講演に参加しました。インドネシアのAlisthaさんがインドネシアの文化や地理そして歴史などを紹介してくれました。プレゼンはパワポではなくCanvaというプレゼンツール（アプリ）を使ったことにも驚きでした。
I attended an extracurricular lecture organized by the Hadano English Conversation Club, of which I am a member. Alistha, from Indonesia, gave a presentation introducing her country's culture, geography, and history. I was also surprised to see that she used Canva—a presentation tool—instead of PowerPoint.

今年は小ぶりでしたがやっと玉葱の収穫が終了しました。次回のEFCで仲間の皆さんと分け合います。
The onions were on the small side this year, but I’ve finally finished harvesting them. I’ll share them with everyone in the group at the next EFC meeting.
 

五月中旬に植えた小豆とささげの芽が出て成長してきました。初めての定植です。
The adzuki beans and cowpeas I planted in mid-May have sprouted and are growing well. This is my first time transplanting them.
