湘南自然薯栽培その３

蔓葉の繁茂が目立ってきました。一部の蔓には芽が出始めました。今後の成長が楽しみです。
The vines and foliage have become noticeably lush. Buds have started to appear on some of the vines. Look forward to seeing how they grow from here.

自然薯の蔓葉が繁茂してきました。追肥しました。その後に白黒マルチを布設しました。今後の成長が楽しみです。
The vines and leaves of the Japanese yam (*jinenjo*) have grown lush. Applied a top dressing of fertilizer and then laid down black-and-white mulch. Look forward to seeing how they grow from here.

昨年は貯水と潅水に苦労したので、水ポンプを買いました。近くの湧き水場所での汲み取りと圃場脇の貯水タンク（500L)への貯水に利用を開始しました。作業時間が1/4に短縮されました。
Struggled with water storage and irrigation last year, so bought a water pump. Have started using it to draw water from a nearby spring and fill the 500L storage tank next to the field, which has cut the time required for the task by three-quarters.
 

今年は種薯の成長が不調で、約2割の種薯の芽出しが出来ませんでした。そのため、第一圃場は半分の畦（8畦）にしか自然薯を定植できませんでした。
The growth of the seed yams was poor this year, and about 20% of them failed to sprout. Consequently,  were able to plant *jinenjo* (Japanese  yam) in only half of the ridges (eight ridges) in the first field.

浜田牧場さんの真田の田圃の畔の草刈りを実施しました。
Mowed the grass along the ridges of the Sanada rice fields belonging to Hamada deiry Farm.
