Hello and happy weekend!
I apologize for not blogging for a few days, things have been busy. This Friday I actually had a day off, but I will be moving at the end of the month. So I had a chance to do some more organizing and cleaning. We took a quick lunch break at Sushi-Ro!
That is my clumsy finger in the bottom of the photo… oops.
Saturday morning we had to greet our new neighbours and give them a small gift. About half of them weren’t home so we’ll have to try again tomorrow. This was a new experience for me as this custom isn’t practiced in Canada. It is much more casual there, and usually you just exchange greetings and small talk when you happen to see one of the new neighbours.
Then in the late afternoon we went to Shimachu in Chigasaki. We’re still looking for some furniture as the apartment is pretty bare right now. The traffic around there was crazy. There is a tight 3-way intersection right beside the store that is also crazy and there were so many people waiting there. I wasn’t sure how the system at the intersection works because there are no signs and its right beside the train tracks. Most people were gracious and taking turns to go through, but no one really seemed to be 100% sure. Anyway, the store was good and there are many interesting designs inside. I like it and recommend it.
Tomorrow I will return to Bois Colombes for some adult classes, and then I need to finish greeting the neighbours that we missed today. I hope it isn’t raining again!
I wish you all a great weekend and sunny weather.
Thanks for reading!
